Casa Soskil is a home shaped by what isn’t there.

Rather than starting with walls and rooms, the design begins with the garden—the open space at its core. Here, the void isn’t a leftover; it’s the lead character. It doesn’t just sit between structures—it defines them. The house unfolds around this space, letting light, air, and silence move freely.

The project embraces the land’s natural duality: one side bathed in direct sunlight, the other shaded by lush foliage. Two atmospheres coexist—warm and vibrant in front, soft and quiet in back. Casa Soskil lives between these poles, held together by the rhythm of light and shadow.

It offers three spacious bedrooms surrounded by greenery, blurring the lines between inside and out. At the front, you’ll find the social heart: an open terrace, breezy living space, and a sun-drenched pool. In the back, the calm pole: a garden beneath tamarind trees, a peaceful bedroom, and a study made for reading, resting, or simply doing nothing.

All of it is seamlessly connected by nature—a quiet retreat in the heart of Mérida to disconnect, breathe deeply, and return to what matters.
