Casa Murillo

Set in the heart of San Miguel de Allende, this residence offers a rare sense of space and calm just steps from the city's energy. Organized around an internal courtyard garden, the home is designed for indoor–outdoor living, with generous interiors that extend onto terraces and a panoramic rooftop with sweeping views and a jacuzzi. Daily housekeeping is included, and breakfast can be arranged each morning.

Originally part of an 18th-century hacienda and church complex, the home occupies what was once the rectory. Around 25 years ago, architect Norm Lacayo thoughtfully restored the ruins, preserving their character while transforming them into a light-filled residence. Subsequent updates have refined the kitchen, bathrooms, and outdoor entertaining areas.

The home accommodates up to eight guests across four en-suite bedrooms. Living and dining areas flow naturally between interior and exterior spaces, centered on a courtyard garden with its own sitting area and bathroom. A fully equipped kitchen, terrace with grill, and rooftop with jacuzzi and lounge areas complete the home. A service bedroom is available upon request for accompanying staff.

Children are welcome; supervision is recommended given the home's multiple levels and terraces. Small, well-behaved dogs are accepted with prior approval, though not during the rainy season.

Transportation — Airport transfers and private drivers can be arranged on request. Note that the home has no dedicated parking due to its central location.

Breakfast — MXN 425 per person/day (standard) or MXN 510 per person/day (with pastries).
