Inspired by traditional beachfront cabañas, this four-bedroom villa reinterprets coastal living through a contemporary lens. The home is composed of two independent bungalows connected by a sweeping open-plan palapa, creating a layout that feels both expansive and effortlessly connected.

Originally conceived by architect Alberto Calleja and later completed by Daniel Barragán, the project is defined by high ceilings, open spaces, and large windows that frame uninterrupted ocean views. Living, dining, and pool areas flow seamlessly together, opening directly onto miles of unspoiled white-sand beach.

A neutral palette of palm, concrete, and wood grounds the home, while subtle touches of color appear through textiles, hammocks, and curated pieces sourced from artisans and designers in Mexico City. Every element reflects a careful balance between functionality and aesthetic — designed for ease, without compromising on character.

The villa accommodates guests across two bungalows, each with two bedrooms, offering a mix of king-size beds and bunk rooms ideal for families or groups. At the center, the palapa living space opens fully to the outdoors, where an infinity pool visually blends into the shoreline beyond.

Located within the secluded community near Puerto Escondido, the setting remains quiet and intentionally remote. Nearby, Casa Wabi by Bosco Sodi and Tadao Ando adds a subtle cultural layer to the landscape.
