A multi-award-winning 1-bedroom villa located in Puerto Escondido's most exclusive beachfront neighborhood. With stunning sea views and equally spectacular mountain vistas to the rear, it was specifically designed to integrate with its environment in perfect harmony.

Conceived by S-AR architects, this property is constructed around three layers, each with its unique practical purpose and interactions with its surroundings. The home’s living space constitutes the core, where a skin of operable vertical wooden lattices provides varying levels of privacy.

The second layer frames the pool and terrace, while the rooftop terrace constitutes the third and perhaps most impressive element. Connecting the home to the expansive skies overhead, guests can gaze up at the stars or contemplate their reflection in the circular pool.

Since its completion, this casita has won numerous awards, including the Dwell Design Award.

Designed for couples or solo travelers looking to escape from the world. The bedroom features a queen-size bed with garden and pool views, while the interconnected living and kitchen create a spacious living area.

The property’s external concrete grid demarcates the patios and pool area, where you can lounge in the hammocks surrounded by lush vegetation.

Located in the exclusive beach-front neighborhood of Punta Pajaros, 30 minutes from Puerto Escondido Airport and 45 minutes from downtown Puerto Escondido. The neighborhood—if you could call it that, considering its simplicity and isolation—features three small restaurants (that close early), a mezcal bar, and a handful of art galleries.

Punta Pajaro’s crown jewel is Bosco Sodi’s famed Casa Wabi, an art studio and exhibition space built by Japanese architect Tadao Ando. Rent a car or take a taxi to get here; don’t plan to go anywhere. This is a spot to relax and forget the world.
